Why can't you use the USB C cable that comes with the computer or the phone?

Both of these plugs work in both the MBP and the S10+.So i need a plug that has this on both ends.
The MBP or the S10+ has a usb outlet

You just need a USB C to USB C cable, which is included in the box. I have a Note 10+ and it connects to my MacBook Pro that way.
