Guys, can anyone please help?
I'm trying to import photos from my Mac to my new iPhone and followed the Sync instructions. Instead of my full resolution photos, I got a "From My Mac" folder with much lower resolution pictures I can not do anything with. WTF? It's a bunch of lowrez previews rather than my photos. They are also not editable/deletable.

Even with "Original quality" for transfer selected in my iPhone Photos prefs, there is some kind of compression happening as my Mac photo folder is ~40GB, but the same folder on my iPhone is ~28GB

Thanks!

Normally there should be no compression, but it will convert HEIC to JPEG if not mistaking as it can't sync HEIC. Have you tried AirDrop or transferring through Google Photos paid plan (free one will compress photos)?
