import photos to iPhoto NOT to SSD

I want to import my photos from my old iMac to my new iMac 27" with SSD. But I think iPhoto will automatically put the files on the SSD and fill it up. I want to force iPhoto to use the regular HDD instead of the SDD.

How can I import the existing pics and specifically tell iPhoto where to put them? This has to be possible, but I've searched and can't find a solution.

Any help?

You need to create a new library.
