Hello,

I'm looking or an application that will import files (jpg+raw) from SD cards/folders/whatever to a structured folder location by Year/Month/Date just like lightroom import module. I use darktable but can't do that.

Many digital asset managers 9DAM) for photography on the market. Some do managed libraries, some do referenced libraries, and let you do either managed or referenced libraries. Some DAMs only focus on library management, raw file conversion, and basic editing. Some other add extra modules for slideshows, web pages, book publication. Bottom line: you need to know your requirements.

Some photography DAMs:
  • Apple Aperture and iPhoto. They will be replaced by Photos in Q1
  • Adobe Lightroom
  • Phase One Capture One
  • Google Picasa
  • Acdsee Acdsee mac Pro
  • DXO DXO Optics Pro

Thanks a lot Picasa does some basic importing into folders by date! :D I need something for importing only. However Acdsee seems nice too with more features. I will use for editing only darktable.
