apologies if this is already in a different thread.


Just because you installed the new watchOS2 update does not mean activation lock is turned on


how to check
--
open the watch app
click on apple watch
if it DOES NOT say "mark as missing" it means your activation lock IS NOT turned on, and anyone can erase your watch

how to fix
simple. turn off find my iPhone on your paired iPhone, and turn it on again. when the apple watch connects to the iPhone the next time, activation lock will be enabled

I just restarted my phone and watch and it gave me the notification on the watch once it had restarted.

yeah i restarted mine too and it didn't show up until i turned off find my iPhone and turned it on again
