Hey guys! I just ordered a 17-inch 2.0GHz iMac and I clicked on the tracking number thing and apparently my iMac is currently in Memphis, Tennessee. Now when I ordered I thought that the iMac would be shipped from a warehouse in Canada. Seeing it's in Memphis right now I guess I'm wrong. Now when the iMac arrives I don't want to be stuck with a $xxx duty fee.

Now my question to Canadian iMac buyers who ordered from Apple's website: Did you have to pay duty when it arrived?

I ask because last time I bought something on eBay that was shipped from the USA I was stuck with a $xxx duty fee.

Cheers!

No, there are no duty fees. The value on your invoice is what you will pay.

Damn. I ordered mine on Sept 8th (17", 2.0GHz, 250 GB HD), and I've just been informed that it's estimated to ship on the 21st! I guess it serves me right for buying from the Education Store! :(
