I don't ever use mail myself, but I'm trying to help out my mom here...

I've got it set up so she can send/receive new emails, but I'm trying to figure out away to import all the old emails that she's already read?

And maybe contacts too? Going back and entering them in one at a time would be kind of a pain.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply-

It's a local, small town ISP. I think pop3 is the only way to do it?

Not sure if they're still on the server or not... I suppose if they're not we're SOL?

There's not enough information to help us help you.

Does the ISP's e-mail have an "export" option for messages or contacts? Are the e-mails downloaded to a different mail client on another computer? What mail client? Does the mail client have an export feature? What format(s) does it export to?

She's been using Windows Mail on a Vista machine.

I did get them all to export, Entourage format wouldn't work for some reason so I used Windows Mail format.

I burned the folder on a disc which shows up on the Mac in .eml format.

Is there a way to import them from there?
None of the options under Import Mailboxes seem to work.
