So I was trying to see if using iMovie on iPad Pro would allow me to dose simple mobile editing, but I ran into some issues right away.

Importing the video from my camera was no issue using the USB camera connection kit. But then I have a recorded MP3 audio file taken with an external recorder. I can't find any way to import this file from my micro SD card - the Photos of course doesn't show it as it doesn't list audio files. I tried apps like Good Reader but I couldn't find anything.

It looks like the only option is to import via my mac or use an external wireless card reader. This is why iOS needs some kind of file system support - you shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get some data on the device. Am I missing something here? I'm not trying to add it to my iTunes library, just to get the file into an app so I can "share" it into iMovie.
