Hello,

Question (1):

The satellite channel I am working for is using Edius. I take some AVI clips
From the satellite channel to my house where I use premiere CS4.
The trouble is that when I import these AVI's clips to premiere CS4 I get error( Can not be imported) .
Do I need to convert this Avi To another type of Avi?
I tried to convert it to MOV and had same problem?
What is the deffirence between AVI Format is Edius and AVI in Premiere?

Question (2):

Can anyone guide me to the best converter for MAC OS X , to be used to convert Edius avi's to be compatible to premiere CS4 when import?

AVI is a file container, much like MOV is a file container. The actual video codec inside that AVI is what Premiere may not like.

When you view the properties of the file in Edius, does it tell you what codec it is in? I must say that I don't have any experience with the Edius platform, but incompatible codec seems to be the most likely case.
