iPod importing cd

Hello, i burned my friend a cd in itunes and in my setting i have checked (include cd text) and it was burned in cd format.


today i got a call from him saying that he imported the cd into his itunes and its showing up as "track 1" track 2 and not the names.

how can he import them with the names of the songs?

I've had the same problem as well. On one of my computers, the drive puts the cd text on the cd's I make, but the other one doesn't. Your drive may not be able to do cd text even if you have the checkmark checked in the preferences.

In short though, if the cd you gave to your friend didn't get the cd text written to it, he'll have to put in the names of the songs himself, or you can give the cd a try again.

Unfortunately the cd database iTunes pulls up won't have custom made cd's in it.
