Importing contacts into Address Book

My dad wants me to import a somewhat large amount of contacts from his Comcast Webmail address book into Address Book.app on his iMac and PowerBook. Currently I am logged into my account on Comcast to test things out... I exported my contacts to my desktop as an LDIF file. I tried importing that file into Address Book, but an error message saying "No importable cards were found." showed up. I did export the contacts correctly, so why is Address Book not accepting the import?

You might try Apple's Address Book importer. If that doesn't work, then I'd suggest exporting the contacts in vCard format and importing the vCard file(s).
