Hi;
I have all of my contacts in a Excel document. I use that to make labels all the time, but I was wondering if it's possible to import that info into Address book. I tried with the labels in Word and couldn't import. do you know of any easy way to do this?

Thanks

TC

What you can do is export the Excel file as comma separated values (CSV -- a text file) and then get them into Address Book. It's a little tricky, but doable. See this:

You can actually import the CSV straight into Ad Book, but you have to get the columns sorted correctly first. I don't think Address Book lets you *export* a CSV, which is a problem, because otherwise you could make a dummy one, use that as a template by importing it into Excel, adding your contacts to the appropriate columns, and then re-exporting the CSV.

Thanks very much! It worked. Now I have all my contacts in Address Book. all I did was to open the excel doc and save as a csv file. The rest was taken care by Address Book

Thanks again
