Importing CSV file into iCal?

I've been searching for a way to import a CSV calendar file (intended for Outlook) into iCal. I googled this problem extensively and found a free on-line translator, but it did not work on the file I would like to import. I believe a commercial product can also do the deed, but I really don't want to cough up a bunch of money just to have this one file translated. Any suggestions?
