Importing effects into iMovie 6

Hi-

I am trying to import Quartz effects into iMovie. Specifically I am trying to take the Photobooth effect of "Comic Book" and run it over existing video....maybe there's another way to do this?

I dropped the .qtz file into the iMovie resources, but I think I need to do something more to add it to my options.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
