Hi all !!

I am a returning prodigal son :) after 15 years in the Windows wilderness.

I and my partner have decided that our new business will be using Macs and we have just bought three iMacs and a MacBookPro.

However we have been using Pocomail/Barca an excellent program for Windows - and we need to import a lot of very important email.

I tried copying all of the mail folders to an external USB and going through the simple import function in Mail - I tested treating the mail as MBOX, then Eudora - but although the import functioned it didn't do the job.

Can anyone suggest a solution ?

Many thanks,

Saoir

hehe, now you know you have too much choices under windows.... lol

my suggestion

1. try contact pocomail's customer service

2. try to import your email from pocomail to thunderbird under windows, and then transfer thunderbird's profile from windows to mac, then, if you don't like thunderbird of mac, you can transfer mails from mac thunderbird to mac mail.app

Thanks for that suggestion. I never used Thunderbird.... so you are saying that the route through Thunderbird should create a path of compatibility....

I will try to give that a crack.

I tried importing Pocomail/Barca into Thunderbird but no go. Doesn't work.

Any other ideas ? Anyone ?

you can search google for thunderbird+pocomail, I think there are some softwares under windows that can import pocomail to thunderbird.

Thunderbird is the only popular modern cross-platform email client I can think of, (the other being outlook, lol)

Barca PocoMail conversion

How did you manage, if you wouldn't mind my asking, to export the Poco Mail?

I am stuck with the same problem.

Trying to move Pocomail over to BES Exchange, uugh

Just because you are a newbie doesn't mean that you are required to necro-post on every ancient thread.
