I have purchased FCP and a HM100 (did previously have FC Express but it was not compatible with HM100 that plays straight onto HD card.
My problem is that if I stick the HD card into my mac and fire up FCP I can import straight into and editing etc is all fine until I take the HD Card out and then I lose the media connection. I have tried saving the imported clips into various places on my hard drive (by way of "save as in FCP) but when it comes to finding them, whilst the file can be seen in the relevant part of system FCP cannot connect to them. However, ll is fine again when I put the HD card back into my computer.
I am sure there is an easy answer to this so please help
