Hi,

OS X version 10.8.4
Gimp version 2.8.4

I'm creating a few posters for my work and some of the logos I have to use are in EPS and IFF (old Amiga image ). I'm using Gimp, and these two formats have given me two quite different problems:

EPS
I have read in several places that I need to provide Gimp with a path to my Ghostscript executable through the environment variable GS_PROG. However, I have also read that in the latest version of Gimp the executable is no longer used, but instead they use a library to decode EPS. I don't know of any other way to set environment variables than through the shell (old Linux user ), so I tried to export the GS_PROG and start Gimp from the shell, but it wouldn't recognize EPS anyway. My guess is that I need the library that I don't know how to get.

EPS Question: Is there anyone who have a functioning setup with Gimp 2.8.4 that can import EPS images, and if so do you specify the GS_PROG or do you have a library to do the decoding (and where can I get the library)?

IFF
To import IFF I need a plugin to Gimp. I have found one but to use it I need to compile it myself. I don't have a problem with this, but I also need something called gimptool-2.0 to build it. The only way to get this I have seen someone mention in a forum was to build Gimp itself from the sources and that's where it starts to become too much of a hassle for me. :(

IFF Question: Is there someone who has the gimptool package available to share or know how to get it, OR is there anyone who knows of an image converter that can eat the IFF file and give me something Gimp understands?

Any pointers or ideas are appreciated, I'm kind of stuck right now.
