Hey,

I'm looking to import my wedding photos on to our iPad using a Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader.

All our photos are numbered 001 -> 489. After many an hour of dicking about, I've now discovered that the iPad can only see images that have 8 characters in the file name. Is this some sort of sick Cupertino joke?! I now have to go through every single bleeding picture and change the file name.

Please in the name of all that is holy, can someone recommend a quicker/better/correct way of doing this?

My sanity thanks you in advance!

I've just tried this with Win7 - my pictures....

Select the album - select all pictures (click on the first, then shift/click on the last). Go to the File menu and select Rename. Write "wedding" in front of the number. Press enter and all the photos will be entitled Wedding001.....etc.

Hope this helps

Sorry, slight mistake. Title them Wedd0. That will give you Wedd0001 etc. which gives you the exact 8 characters.
