Importing iPhoto to Aperture

I am running iLife 11 with the latest iPhoto 9.1.1

I try to import it to Aperture 3.0

However it will not import as Aperture says I am running an iPhoto earlier than 7.1.5

This is not true my software is all up to date.

How can I import all my photos?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope still no joy I will just have to import pictures as I need to work on them, no big deal really.

It would be a help if you explained how you were trying to import the photos.

Have you tried exporting the photos from iPhoto to Aperture?
