I've looked at the NX tutorial videos but the most basic of elements escapes me. How do I import from my new (and impressive) D80 directly into NX? I can upload from the D80 into Adobe photoshop album starter edition, save to a folder and then import into NX (but only as jpegs). I expecetd NX to have an import button (as iphoto). Please can anyone help?
Thanks

Richard

NX is primarily an editor program, not an organizer. The most you get for organization is the browser with the ability to tag files.
For that, Nikon has a number of programs. Nikon View Pro is under development, PictureProject is currently your main option. NikonView (original) is no longer being updated. It may support downloading, but it won't read your NEFs.
You can always just create your own storage system- I did. I store all my photos by camera, then by month, then into major categories.

From there, either use Finder, the open command, or the Browser within Capture NX to find the photos you want.
