Hey, all. I'm trying to import mailboxes to a 2019 iMac running Mojave from files I'd backed up from a subsequently died 2012 iMac running High Sierra. And I'm confused.

When I import using the 'Files in box format', I get the response 'Error No valid mbox files were found'. Which makes no sense, because the files are clearly mbox.

When I import using the 'Apple Mail' option, I end up getting entirely unwieldy results: I get a Data folders that I have to go through a ridiculous number of sub-files, from which I have to manually transfer individual message into a fresh Mailbox.

I've done this process in the past, and the folders have been imported intact, readily available.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.
