Importing movies to iTunes??

I have just re-installed my mac and use an external for all my itunes stuff - so i open itunes and drag my 'itunes' folder from my external onto itunes thinking it will import everything, but looked to see there is no movies, so i went into the 'movies' bit to drag and drop them, but it won't at all. Am i doing something wrong here cos never had this trouble before?

Cna anyone help me?

yeah tried that - still nothing, just doesnt do what it should be doing

im just converting a movie now to see if that will import, but shouldnt be doing that really should it?
