Hey all,

My old MacBook bit the dust, including all my music. I just got a new MacBook Pro, and I was wondering if there's any way to copy the music from my iPod Touch into iTunes.

Thanks

I have a similar problem. I have a 5th Generation Video iPod with 40GB+ music, podcasts, sound recordings, photos, etc. My iTunes folder was on an external hard drive that crashed and I've had to reformat it.

Can I re-sync the material on my iPod back to the iTunes program?

Try this website or this YouTube video.

There is also a program called Tune Transfer that you can get. It treats an iPod as an external hard drive and you can drag the files from your iPod to your computer.

I suggest backing up all your information as well. With your new MBP, Time Machine couldn't be any easier.

thanks !

Thank you very much for the suggestions. I'll investigate them to see which will work best for me.

I've actually recently purchased a 1TB Time Capsule and have it set to automatically back up my MBP.

Cheers !
