A few weeks ago I had an iBook G4 running Panther and had all my email in the Mac OS X Mailer. I had to sell the iBook G4 but before I did that I backed up the email files onto a CD. I am now using my older computer which is a PowerBook G3 and it is running OS 9.2. I am trying to figure out how to access the email messages that I had on OSX, on OS 9 now. Now an obvious solution would be to install OSX onto this older computer - but for other reasons, I can not do that. So is there anyway to access OSX formatted email on OS 9?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, there is no Apple supported method of doing so. You might be able to find a shareware application which does can import them into outlook express or something - check www.versiontracker.com but chances are you're stuck. You can probably open them in BBEdit or some other application like that if you really need to.
