I'm going crazy. This new iPhoto is driving me nuts. I see now how to access your photos by viewing contents BUT how in the world to i get a photo into an application like PHotoshop or After Effect?????

I hit import and iphoto is greyed out!! I read you could drag the photos from iPhoto into mail ( i haven't tried that) but HOW DO I GET THEM INTO AFTER EFFECTS WITHOUT DRAGGING THEM ONTO MY DESKTOP!! IT'S NUTS!!!

The correct way to access your photos with Photoshop etc. is to drag them to the desktop, or export them to the desktop, and edit them from there. Users are not meant to go into the library in finder. This leads to corruption and loss.

An alternative is to set iPhoto preferences to use Photoshop as your external editor. Then you simply select the photo in iPhoto, edit it, and it will save back to the same place it originated (in iPhoto).

ok, thanks. if it helps with preventing corrupted files, so be it. :)
It just an adjustment for me.
