Importing Photos to El Capitan

Hello,

I just plugged in my Ipad Pro to the Imac running El Capitan (latest version of OSX it can run without the unofficial patch) and it launched the photos app but it says "No Photos".

I'm wondering whether it has anything to do with the new file format? I was under the impression that only new photos used the new format and old photos were not converted - is this correct?

Can anyone else test this with El Capitan please?

Can anyone test this out for me please?

I have sent bug report but would be nice to know if the issue is occurring for others on El Capitan (or other versions of Mac OS)?
