Importing photos to Windows XP... All portrait photos are rotated 90 degrees

When I import my photos from my iP4, all the photos that I took in portrait mode are rotated 90 degrees to the left. I could just rotate them back with Windows but that degrades the quality. Photos taken in Landscape mode are fine. It doesn't matter which program I use to import them..

Any ideas on how to fix this?
