I need help with a QuickTime import. I have video files (.mov) that I have downloaded from UnitedStreaming.com.
When I browse for one of the QuickTime files to put into my iMovie 8, they are grayed out and not available. Neither can I drag and drop.
Any ideas?

What kind of encoding was used to generate the .mov file? Is it H.264? Something else?

I don't know -- it's downloaded from a video library. When I go to "get info" it has a section entitled Dodecs: QDesign Music 2, Sorenson Video 3, Hint.

That's Greek to me, but I don't know how to further get encoding information.

This import was something I did all the time in the prior version of iMovie, so I'm a bit at a loss.

Thanks,
Bonnie
