Stupid question from ignorant AppleNoob...

I just received my first Apple desktop computer- a 21.5iMac. Wow. Just wow.

When I turned on my iMac it asked me to do the iCloud thing, and when I first opened Safari, I saw, for a brief moment, my bookmarks as stored on my iPad, but they promptly disappeared in front of my eyes.

Please could someone tell me how to get them back? It would save a bit of hassle having to load them manually, if there's an automated way of doing it.

Many thanks.

PS. Wow again.

Well, that sucks. I just went onto Safari on my iPad, and guess what? All the bookmarks in my Bookmarks Bar have been wiped (the other bookmarks, in other folders are intact).

wtf?

Check the iCloud account from your iPad and iMac and make sure bookmarks are both set to on. I assume your using the same account.
