I recently got a Canon MX850. It scans the pictures but for some reason I can't import the picture over the Iphoto or anywhere else for that matter.

Anyone know how to do this?

For what it's worth I have:

Mac 10.5.2
Mac Book Pro

Question 9: Does iPhoto work with flatbed scanners or film scanners?

Answer: Yes. To use iPhoto with your flatbed or film scanner, simply scan your negative, slide, or print with the scanner and save the resulting files to a folder on your Mac. You can import the images directly into iPhoto with the Import command. You can also drag the folder of images directly onto the iPhoto interface and add photos that way.

So, there's no plug-in to directly import. If the Canon scanning software won't let you save to your desktop or elsewhere, that could mean a different problem, maybe to do with permissions... try Image Capture with your scanner; see if that works.

Thanks. It doesn't give me the option to save and I'm logged in as the administrator. Plus I'm using Image Capture.
