I ave this song right. When I put the song type to wmv it plays just fine in Quicktime. But i'll change the file type to mp3, it won't play or import into iTunes? what the eff?

Mac.

And yea, when I downloaded it, it was in wmv. And it played fine in Quicktime. And it also wouldn't import into iTunes. So I changed it to .mp3 and it still wouldn't

Don't laugh...have pity on a computer newb :(

Okay, I promise I'm not laughing. Unfortunately, changing the file name doesn't change the actual file. Was it originally a WMA or WMV? Something from the Flip4Mac range may help you convert a WMV to something more useable. Something like EasyWMA might help convert it, if it's a WMA. :)

Can I use ffmpegx? And I do already have flip4mac.Probably why it plays in quicktime. And I believe the original download was wma.

Edit. Okay I just used ffmpegx and aparently the original file type was asf. And I converted it to mp3 just fine.

Thanks
