Importing USA mini dv footage onto UK Mac

I have alot of footage filmed on mini dv from the USA, I am currently in the process of buying a mac in UK, should my USA mini dv camcorder download the footage onto my UK mac without any problems?

Shouldn't really be a problem, as long as you edit the material in the same TV standard as your miniDV tapes

If youre using FCStudio and FCP you can then covert your edit to PAL form NTCS in Compressor.
