I'm new to this forum. I'm trying to help a friend out. If anyone can help, I'll go around and tell the world what friendly people Mac users are. : )

My friend has an iMac; 1 GHz G4, 1GB, Mac OSX 10.4.11. He also has a digiital video camera, a regular digital camera, and a ClcikFree brand external hard drive, model HD525.

According to the specs for the ext. hdd, it requires OSX 10.5. He may have bought the wrong hdd for several reasons, but what he wants to do is put the photos and videos on the ext. drive. -Not as a backup, but as storage to access those files when working with them.

So my questions are:
A) Can a ClickFree hard drive be used as a regular storage drive (as opposed to back-up only)

B) Does the requirement for OSX 10.5 refer to only the one-click back-up function, or does it refer to using the drive at all?

Any help is highly appreciated.
