I have a DVC100 a/v converter box. It has RCA (yellow, red, white) and s-video inputs, and a usb output for putting videos on your PC. unfortunately, the PC software it came with BLOWS and I'd really like to import directly to my mac.

Unfortunately, iMovie only support Firewire converter boxes, not usb! Can I get a UBS -> Firewire Converter cable like this one

or this one

Or can i get a cheap (less than $60) Firewire Converter box. Ultimately, i'm trying to put VHS to DVD, but i dont like using the PC and I really like iDVD.

What you truelly need is a mac product, like this: http://www.plextor.com/english/products/TV402UMac.htm. But if notice, I think this product also uses USB, so you might want to try and get the EyeTV 1.8 software from here: http://www.elgato.com/index.php?file=support_updates_eyetv and see if this can help do a capture. Guessing this might work, not sure if it will.
