Hi,

I have been given an image of Windows 7 from a mate that has a MacBook and has a virtual copy of Win7 running, so it is an image of his VM. The DVD I have has one file - archive.zip - which I believe is the image zipped to save space, I have extracted this and it contains:

Windows7_1.vmdk
Windows7_1.ovf

I am looking to import this image using VirtualBox - however, i'm not sure how to go about this.

Does anyone have any experience on doing this or have a tutorial or anything to help me out?

I'd really rather not have Windows anywhere near my MacBook, but I need this for work purposes.

Cheers,
Picco

I have managed to import the VMDK file, however when running in VirtualBox it just BSODs :-/

Any idea what i've done wrong? The BSOD just stays up for a second then disappears.

Cheers,
Picco
