Computer A: ibook G3, display is shot, wireless is shot. Firewire, Ethernet, USB.
Computer B: 11" Macbook Air, new, fully functional. USB and Thunderbolt only.

Does anyone know of a way that I can pull some files from this old ibook to the macbook air? I've seen all of the threads involving Migration Asst., and those methods will obviously not work in this case. Any way to get to that HD using what I've got here? Thanks for any help.

You get a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter, then a Firewire 800 (9-pin) to Firewire 400 (6-pin) cable*, then you start the iBook in Target Disk Mode, then you connect both Macs via Firewire and then you either use Migration Assistant or do it manually.
