I bought my Macbook Pro back in 08. I love it and is one of the longest lasting purchases I've made I'm 17. Here we are in 2012 and I'm still faster than any PC I've ever used. Aside from a dead HDD which I just replaced last week, this bad boy keeps kickin!

700 Cycles! I still get good battery life too!

I hate to burst your bubble, but I can say with certainty that faster PCs exist. Still a great macbook pro though.

I still have a 5 year old MacBook , 1st gen iPod touch , and a 1st gen iPod Shuffle and they all work just as good when I got them on day 1. Say what you want but Apple products will last a long time if you take care of them.

Yea I know that. Im just talking about loading things and such, it's usually just because the Windows OSes I see are always bloated yet every mac ive seen blows them all away.

I also have a first gen MacBook Pro that runs like a champ. However I do have a number of older iPods that haven't fared so well though.

Same. It's only until I got the video iPod where things got better. All of the previous iPod's prior had HDD's die.

My Late-2008 MacBook Pro still running like a champ, about to upgrade to 8GB of RAM and with the latest EFI update that fixed the blinking, feels like I just bought it.

Right on, I finally upgraded last year with the introduction of sandy bridge, and thunderbolt. I figured it had been a while, and I deserved the upgrade. :D
