We've all seen the make-shift Steve Jobs memorials found at Apple Retail stores around the world, but one group has taking it to the next level at the Munich, Germany Apple Store.

iOS News reports on the mural that was reportedly created with 4001 Post-it notes. The video shows a timelapse of its creation:

Here's a photo of (we believe) the team who made it:

Head on shot:

Yet another small, but yet grand and fitting tribute for Steve Jobs. Rest in Peace Mr. Jobs. Thoughts and prayers to the Jobs family.

... Man, I would hate to have to be the one to take that down...
Serious props,to the folks that planned it and out it up.

I can only imagine what the store manager thought when he saw them with a ladder that close to all their glass.

That is fantastic. There are some really clever people out there - people that think different. Amazing stuff, hope it stays up as long as paperly possible. Maybe even a call for another layer of glass to keep it in perpetuity. The video was awesome as well. Well done.

Someone at the Santa Monica Promenade Apple Store left their own piece of Steve art similar to this. Thought it might be of interest.

I wonder how long it took them to put up all those sticky notes. They would have had to make adjustments along the way to make it look right.

1. It'll be sad when it has to get taken down

2. How much did the sticky notes cost

3. Steve wouldn't have liked the extra 1 sticky note, in the 4001

4000 sticky notes and one more thing...?

It looks fantastic. The only shame I think is that they missed an opportunity to get people to write a message of condolence on each post-it note before putting them up... That would've been epic.

That would have been messy.

Does anyone know what Steve's thoughts on the laser etching option for the back of the iPhone was? I'm sure his thoughts would have been similar for having all those notes have messages written on them.

I'm just wondering how so many people posting on various tribute threads know what Jobs would think about anything. Unless they were a close friend of Jobs, it seems to me that folks should express THEIR opinions and not tell us what someone else thinks - especially if they do not know that someone personally.

Just saying...:D

Things like that blow my mind...

How do you do that? How do you make a image like that, so much larger than yourself?

Do you have to keep running back 30 feet and looking at it?

1500 stickies in - "Oh ball! Steve's nose is crooked!"

I mean...damn...
