Hi folks,

If a user begins a 35-pass HD wipe, makes it to around 15 passes, and then clicks 'skip', does that negate the effect of the erase?

Thanks for any answers.

Not necessarily, but generally speaking, I'd say it's a bad idea to interrupt an erase, partition or format in progress.

Thanks for the reply.

Bad idea as in, the HD might be damaged now, or the HD might not be properly wiped?

Cheers
