Apple's voice recognition has always worked pretty well for me. It almost always correctly interprets what I say. That is, so long as I used the iPhones built in mic. However when connected to a BT mic, like the one in my car, it was essentially unusable. It would rarely get more then the occasional word correct. Basic tasks like dialing a number were almost impossible.
That said, over the last few days I have noticed a change. Recognition quality is jumped drastically. Even using the BT in my car while driving, Siri now recognizes at least as good as the internal mic ever did. Sending complex multi sentence SMS messages through Siri now work flawlessly.
Maybe they just calibrated the system to more mic profiles. I must say that I am very impressed with the new found ability to interact with my phone while driving.
