Why in 2025 does Apple still require such a painstaking process when you go into iPhone Storage and want to clear the items in the "Review Large Attachments" which are typically pics and GIFs, etc within text messages that you have to still select each item individually and not even have the option to select ALL and do a mass clear? To clear 14gb of items, its takes forever with clicking item by item.

Apple has done so many cool things to make life easier in iOS but by now we should have this simple ability lol.

So you buy a more expensive phone next time with more storage is my guess.
I have 256bg and only using 85gb of that, I do not do it for space per say but just to clear up space that is used by sent GIFs and Pics in messages, but the fact that iOS still does not have a SELECT ALL option vs spending hours going through it selecting each one at a time is absurd.

So if you have so much storage free, why are you worrying about it? I too have a 256GB iPhone but never worried about it.

I'd be much more concerned on a phone with lesser amounts of storage.

Probably because "review" means review, not select everything without looking at it. Why they decided to do it this way? Who knows.

Totally feel your pain — in 2025 Apple still makes us tap through each meme like it’s 2012. The “Review Large Attachments” screen is designed as a safety net so you don’t accidentally nuke that one precious baby photo, hence no “Select All” button.

A few work‑arounds: if you’re cleaning up an entire conversation, open Messages, long‑press the thread and hit “Delete” — it wipes all attachments in one go. On a Mac, Messages lets you sort attachments by size and delete them much faster. There are also third‑party apps (iMazing, PhoneClean) that can bulk‑remove media while leaving the texts intact.

And yes, Apple loves upselling larger storage — but maybe we’ll finally get a “Delete All” button in iOS 19. Until then, put on a podcast, grab a coffee and start tapping… or just embrace the chaos and enjoy those GIFs!
