Download the new apple store app and then you can go in and reserve an iphone 4 for pick up anytime that day.

After working on this for hours earlier, I was done in under five minutes.
 
Just did likewise for my wife.

(I still may want the Evo after all this nonsense, but she's a diehard. :mad:)

Shes gonna laugh at you when you have to ask her to use her phone because your battery died :D

I reserved mine on the app as well and it went through. I am eligible for the full upgrade (199/299), I ordered the 32GB and when i got the confirmation email it said $699. They must be smoking crack if they think im paying that.....Probably just another error and screw up on someones part.
 
I tried using the new app... FAIL!

It opens, I choose the iphone 4, I enter info, and it exits


over and over and over again.. I have two apple stores near me to choose from, but it doesn't matter when the effing app fails.

No, you just delayed your misery. Wait for launch day when ATTs servers go down again b/c there are so many in-store activations. You'll be waiting in line for hours. So choice is wait at home/office while pre-order or wait at Apple for your reservation. There is no easy fix here unless ATT upgrades it's servers in the next week which isn't likely. This is just a royal Charlie Foxtrot any direction you look.
 
yeah it might be fast for reservations, but imagine having to wait in line and activate the phone in-stores? :eek:
 
I've been trying the app all morning but it's not working for me. I wonder if because we have a FAN account, there are special issues. The iPhone 4 isn't even showing up on our upgrade options page on AT&T.
 
hopefully they'll make it like the 3G launch where they just gave you the phone to activate at home via iTunes.

3GS was in store activation. I lost my upgrade due to att servers going down. It took them 3 days to get it back - all I could do was trust the manager that they could get it back. In the end, I gave up and decided to wait.

Same happened for me. I'm assuming it will be the correct price when I pick it up. If not, I will kick them in the p#&!$.
