in Aperture it states "You don’t have permission to save the file"

Hi, I'm trying to load pics into my aperture program. and its telling me "You don’t have permission to save the file “my name” in the folder “Users”.
does anyone know what this is and how I solve the problem?

Where is your Aperture library located?
The default permissions for /User are read-only, so if your aperture library is there try moving it to your user's folder (contained in /User).

Also ensure you have correct read/write permissions by selecting the library and going File>Get Info>Sharing & Permissions.
