In-App purchases not working

I have never tried in-app purchases so I am not even sure if what I am getting is normal or should it work.

I downloaded an app and when I click on buy a window pops up and says " Checking Purchase request" then it just goes away and nothing happens. No error, no popup no clue what it even did.

I removed appsync as suggested by a few sites but it still isn't working.

Will it? Am I doing something wrong?

Remove appsync.
Remove the app and restart the phone.
Then download the app again and try the inapp purchase again.

Sorry bro.
Last time I tried It with navigon it worked for me.
But depending on the app some are tricky with jb iPhones.

Remove AppSync, reboot and re-Sync with iTunes.
Next, make sure you discard the App in iTunes and re-download the App
Sync the App to your phone
Should work.

I will try this now. When I first did it I removed the app, uninstalled appsync, reboot and then reinstalled. I didn't use itunes since I sometime have issues with it not transferring my 3rd party apps so when I sync I lose them.

So I tried to transfer the apps on my phone to itunes and most went but what about rock, installous and unrestrictor. Is there a way to back these up? Maybe SSH? Can I take those files and put them into itunes manually?

I am too chicken to try and sync. I don't know if I will lose those apps or not. For the longest time I couldn't sync and now then I can I am sort of unsure on the apps like installous or ones I have d/l from there.

Can anyone advise before I sync?
