In line at Huntington LI store...

i went to the roosevelt field store at 6am.. already a line of 50 with at least 40 of them are asian scalpers. Went to manhasset at 7, line of 30 with over 25 of them scalpers... they started camping out in roosevelt since 12am. i think waiting to purchase at an apple store is a waste of time for the next week.

Apple lady said they received no iPads today. Go home they won't be selling any today.
Personally I find this insane, how do you not ship iPads for Monday morning? Any chance she's lying or a shipment will come in later?
Also she hada pretty crap attitude. Wouldn't give any actual answers, all corporate speak about not knowing anything.
The 20 or so people were all in crappy moods. All pissed at situation. I'd also say that half were scalpers. I tried asking them when they showed up and they looked at me like I was from Mars.

Which national/international shipping company delivers on Sundays?
According to other threads, the pattern is that deliveries made during a given day are sold the following morning.

Manhasset did not have any this morning, and roosevelt said they didn't. Not 100% sure about roosevelt cuz the girl coulda said they were sold out or they didnt receive any, i didnt want to ask her again because she sounded really frustrated.
They do not get shipments on SUNDAY!

thats not true... multiple apple employees said they have received stock on monday morning prior to opening. i do not see why todays any different.

No. That's a bad idea. Those people are desperate. Handing out ex-lax would only be a further punishment upon yourself.
you should have kicked her ass since it's her fault for not ordering any iPad 2's for monday morning. and i would also stake out the store and kick the FedEx driver's ass for not being around to deliver any on a Sunday

Update: used the Target tracker, went to Target in Bayshore and easy as pie I got one. They only had wifi versions. Fine by me. Guy was in a bad mood, but I think that because of a fellow co worker. Anyway jad to ask for one they were in the back. So if you're on LI use the Target tracker. Good luck!
