in Mail: Can e-mail accounts on iPad differ from those on the syncing Mac?

Hi, everyone,

I don't have an iPad but am considering one for my mother.

I intend to use my own MBP and iTunes account to sync everything for her periodically, but I would like to set the Mail app on the iPad to use her one e-mail account, and none of my existing accounts on my MBP.

Is that possible? Or, like iTunes, can you only use the same account(s) on both machines?

You set up the mail account on the ipad directly. It has no relationship to what account is on your computer.
