Hi, im wondering if the mac TextEdit, or Automator, can help me with a task i'm trying to achieve?
Put simply, I have a TextEdit document with a list of hundreds of 'concrete nouns' that I've copied & pasted from the internet.
The list is of many words separated by a comer, and a space.
EG, castle, pyramid, jailhouse, cliff dwellings, igloo
Chinese pavilion, hair salon, beauty salon, hostel
estate, hacienda, ranch, ashram, log cabin, shed, etc.

What i'd like to achieve is to put all these words into one long list, one above the other, so that I can process them for what I need to do..
EG,
castle
pyramid
jailhouse
cliff dwellings
igloo
Chinese pavilion
hair salon
beauty salon
hostel
etc etc..

Is this a possible request?
Thanks,

You might need to create a single line break and copy that one in replace all instead of your ", "
Update: watch the video attached by tnsmart; that's the way for you to go

Are you comfortable with terminal and commands? There is a program called sed which very elegantly solve you problem. If not go with the thread above.
