Okay here is my issue/problem...

I am helping a Mac-Convert complete a project for a Educational Class (Janitor helping Educator of 25+ years... funny huh...) anyway she did all the keynote work including builds and then asked me to get some audio,... like voice overs,... but the darn thing won't play the whole file,... it cuts off at the end,... What could be wrong???

Right now it is set on automatic play and I have tried turning that off but it still cuts off the song...

Any suggestions, input, or help is greatly appriciated, Thanks...

Also Apple's site says you can just drop the Audio file on the slide and it will play, well it only plays 5 seconds or so... any way thanks for any help anyone can give!

thanks,

Are you trying to play the song though out the whole slide show, or just certain sound files during each slide. For a single sound file thoughout all the slides, in Keynote 2, I'm guessing this is what the teacher is using, there is an Inspector icon towards the top right. When opened, and set to the tab in the new window farthest to the left, you should see something for Audio at the bottom. Find the sound you want, and drag and drop it into the little box that is there, not onto the slide show. Now when you start the slide show it should start the music and keep playing. Then just have her set how many times she wants it to play and what not. If this is not the problem, I'm not sure of the fix. Also, they came out with and update to Keynote, is might be one of the fixes for cut off sound, the teacher should apply it as soon as possible to see if it helped. Also, what are the sound files, AIFF, MP3?

I actually want a specific audio file (AIFF) to play for each individual slide as for a voice-over effect, and I am using the "Inspector" just as you described but it keep's cutting the file short... I don't know exactly what to do...

Any way thanks for the quick reply and any other input would be greatly appriciated!
