In Need of Good Video capture device to get them off my camcorder

Ok anyone have any suggestions for an external video capture device? I need to move some movies from my old Super 8 camcorder to iMovie and want something that works well.

I've used the Sony DVMC-DA1 Digital Media Converter for years with FCP. Works well. My buddy just went though and converted all his Hi8 and VHS home video tapes to digital. I think the newest version is DA2 which has LANC. Many on eBay.
