iPod touch In need of help!):

So my iPod touch crashed yesterday. I had to connect it to iTunes and download the newer version of iTunes. I did so but once I tried restoring my iPod it said that it couldn't restore due to the network connections. I ran a test but the problem is that according to the test, there's no iPod plugged in? It shows up on my iTunes, just not when I'm trying to restore it. I'm stumped :/

If it says there is an issue with network connections, that means you're not connected to the Internet.
